On 07-Oct-2016 the supplier responded:Thankyou for your Feedback. The system you have purchased is a Radiator Add-on system. I believe your issue is that you advise the pump does not start up. Basically this system is designed to connect directly to the radiator circuit and therefore only operate once the radiators are turned on. In its simplest form all you need to do with these systems is connect the pump to the radiator pipes and then supply the pump with a 240volt power supply. One important design feature of this pump unit is that has a sensor installed within it that detects the temperature of the water feeding the pump. The pump will ONLY start up once the temperature of the water feeding it from the boiler reaches 43 deg C. Therefore it will not start up as soon as you boiler starts up but instead will be slightly delayed from the boiler. The reason for this is that when the system is up and running, it will have heated your floor to the required temperature, but then in the instance that the boiler /radiators turn off, you also want the floor heating pump to turn off, otherwise you will push cooler water through the system and immediately cool the floor that you have just heated up. Therefore once the water temperature drops below 43 deg C your pump unit will automatically turn off to prevent cooling of the floor. It is a common misconception that these units are not operating, when whats actually happening is they are waiting for the water temperature to reach the 43 Deg C. If you can please call us we will discuss this further with you and ensure your system operates as designed.
Well pleased with the underfloor heating kit. Only problem is that I need 2 elbows to complete the installation and no local plumbing & heating suppliers have 16mm fittings so have had to order them on line and wait a week for delivery. I assumed that standard 15mm fittings would do but they don't.
